Portrait Photographers Birmingham – Oakes Portrait Photography Studios Birmingham for PR portraits, Actors Headshots, Model Portfolios & Corporate Publications.
Over 25 years of portrait photography has led me to develop an easy going style. I pride myself on being a people person , I chat to the subject to both put them at ease and to let them lose that I’m scared of cameras look!
I have lost count of the number of people who have turned up at my studio – for a portrait – who say they cant stand having there picture taken. I can honestly say I have never had anyone who has left disappointed.
Many of my shots have been for commercial clients , either shown in a relevant setting or at my Birmingham studio.
Clients have included The Daily Mail , The Sun , The Grocer magazine model and casting and extra’s agencies and some of the biggest and best (and smallest and boutigue) PR agencies.
They know I will turn up on time, be appropriately presented, use the very latest cameras, lenses, lighting and backdrops to get that perfect portrait.
In the studio we can call upon both Make Up artists and Stylists if budgets and briefs allow.
How do you look on Linked in ? I can not understand why anyone would portray themselves as a faceless ikon. If im comfortable in showing me – then anyone can look good. You can see on my profile that I am sending a message every time someone checks me out.
Im surrounded by my studio lighting and apple laptop.
Children are photographed having fun , Models are shot looking beautiful (but not often smiling!) Company Directors are captured in boardrooms , reflected in mirrors or glass , Salesmen in showrooms and Dancers in mid flight.
Photo’s can be for Actors Headshots , z cards , model cards , websites and to promote and give publicity.
If you have a Press Release or a magazine article they will appreciate a well lit professional portrait to accompany it.
If possible in the studio I will shoot tethered so clients can see the shots they like instantly – no need for a debate back at the office.
Selfies are fun and ok for Instagram – but nothing looks as good as a great portrait
