Oakes Studios PR

Deadlines and copy dates often demand a rapid response which still has to fulfil the clients expectations and the need to be inventive on the hoof. I have lost count of the calls that start with can you shoot this tomorrow! or sometimes even Today!! Opinions and perspectives should jump out of the page , the need to convey warm friendly and personable people is a must. From crowded shopping malls to stately homes from caravan sites to waterways there’s a story to tell , a magazine article to illustrate,an in house magazine to popularize and a press article that needs vibrant images. Getting along with people is a strength and a gift that enables me to be sympathetic in approach and handling. Some of the work I have done has put me in strange and unusual settings telling stories about all kinds of people . Shooting for Big Lottery Fund let me meet and talk to people with learning difficulties , homeless young kids, the elderly and the sick. It was an honour and a privilege to meet people facing situations that most folk never see. I have shot obese people for a teen magazine , an adult Dancer for a womens magazine , newlyweds for The Sun newspaper, a corporate account handler for the Daily Mail, a casino manager for an in house publication and cake decorator for the biggest cake magazine in the uk. Wherever and whenever I am chosen to shoot you can rely on a first coverage and award winning pictures that get noticed. Some of the biggest and smallest PR Agencies contact me regularly, along with Media companies handling clients across the Midlands and beyond. Whatever the story – we’ll shoot anything on Site…or in the Studio.
