When the ISBA organization was putting the final touches on a huge conference for their members, a Google search for a conference photographer in Birmingham picked up Graham’s details.

With over 40 positive reviews on Google My Business and many more on both LinkedIn and my website, the phone call quickly turned to enquiries about availability and timing.

With some very powerful graphics, a huge screen, and a large auditorium at Birmingham’s premier conference center, the ICC, it was important to capture the various speakers in full flow. Graham carefully positioned himself close to, and just below, the stage to give a set of outstanding images of the people giving presentations.

With a very large set of companies exhibiting their unique products and services on stands both large and small, it was part of the job brief to get a selection of attendees having a go, or looking at the information and interacting with staff. This dramatic image of the darts competition on the upper deck of the ICC was one that the client and stand exhibitor highly approved of.

This colorful sales stand by Evolve, located in another of the many halls in use for the three-day conference, drew the eye and the attention of both the attendees and our photographer. Low depth of field pulls the viewer toward the interaction between the sales representative and the prospective customer. Dynamic and creative photography starts here.

Let fly with Meaningful and Joyful PR Images—Graham chats to staff, gets involved, whips up enthusiasm, and asks them to go to new heights. Jumping for joy—which I’m sure the customer did when reviewing my photographs! ISBA was suitably impressed with the many and varied types of captures that were sent.

Having your cake—and eating it. Both Food and Beverage suppliers were there not only to sell but to serve up a whole heap of mouthwatering options. It’s important to ring the changes with photographs that bring focus to various aspects of what’s on offer. This shot was presented twice; this one pulls the viewer into the delicious cake, the next one highlighted the smiling chef cooking up a storm.

Speaker engagement—powerful portraits—highly saturated colors—high contrast with shadows are all used as a storytelling shot. Get in close, get involved, make the viewer know just how engaged and focused this speaker was. You can tell that his message is impassioned and his presentation is one to hear.

A picture’s worth a thousand words—and Graham is the photographer to capture your conference.
